MANILA, Philippines — One person died while two others were injured in a fire that left over 400 families homeless in Navotas City early Friday morning.
Report from Navotas police said the fatality was identified as James Bantasan while two other victims identified as Mercy Abero and Lester Razon sustained minor injuries.
The blaze struck 200 homes at a fish port complex in Barangay NBBN which reached until fifth alarm at 4:49 a.m.
The fire was completely extinguished at 6:11 a.m. /je
