“BB Gandanghari reflects on struggles and calls for equality on Martin Luther King Jr. day”

BB Gandanghari shared her reflections and struggles in life as a transgender in America on a post on Instagram on Tuesday, January 16.

She recalled the day when a woman named BB declared, “Rustom is DEAD” in an article nine years ago.

“Well, his body was never found and the prime suspect lived in liberty but not without cause. As I enter my decade of resilience to endure all that is needed to go thru the very, an understatement, difficult process called TRANSITION, even more challenging times ahead is expected,” she wrote.

She went to describe the challenges she has faced in entering her decade of being a woman and expressed gratitude to God for strength and guidance.

“I look back and wonder, how the heck, I have even gone this far? And not only did I get this far, I can honestly say also, that I’m exactly where I am supposed to be. Peaceful and hopeful as I enter my decade of womanhood, despite the troubling hate that threatens my person even in the land of the Free and the Brave.”

She then paid tribute to Martin Luther King Jr., considering him a modern-day hero and a reminder that she too can dream and believe that all men are created equal.

Jan16,2018: Waiting to exhale… It has been 9 yrs since, when a woman named BB. declared ‘Rustom is DEAD.’ So, who killed Rustom Padilla, to quote #RickyLo’s headline, and where is his body? Well, his body was never found and the prime suspect lived in liberty but not without cause. As I enter my decade of resilience to endure all that is needed to go thru the very, an understatement, difficult process called TRANSITION, even more challenging times ahead is expected. I’ve been mentioning these different aspects such as the physical, social, psychological, spiritual, physiological and professional confusion bec I have believed from the onset of my transition that all of these will be vital as I see myself eventually assimilating in the society as a woman, not as a man cross dressing as a woman or as a gay man, no pun intended, but as a WOMAN, transgender I may be. My life since Januaryof2009, was anything but EASY. It is a decade of self awakening and awareness. A decade of, without being dramatic, back breaking experiences in the physical and spiritual sense. Had it not with the guiding force and strength of a straight from the heart prayers to the one and only true God, Jehovah, nothing will ever be possible. I look back and wonder, how the heck, I have even gone this far? And not only did I get this far, I can honestly say also, that I’m exactly where I am supposed to be. Peaceful and hopeful as I enter my decade of womanhood, despite the troubling hate that threatens my person even in the land of the Free and the Brave. And in the wake of #MLKJr. day… may I pay tribute, in my own little way, to the man I consider a modern day hero for he has remained a constant reminder that indeed, I too can Dream… that I am in the land who BELIEVE and RESPECT that “ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL.” #transisbeautiful #transpinay #pinayactressinhollywood #dreamtobecome #kabuki #elizabeththevirginqueen #actorsaccess #lacasting #castingfrontier #castingsocietyofamerica @thebroganagency

Prince Harry’s Wedding Could Also Double as a Reunion With One of His Famous Exes

When we said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were doing things their way for their upcoming wedding, we weren’t kidding. Not only is Meghan shaking things up by having her mom walk her down the aisle, but Harry’s ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy might even be on hand for the big day. “Do not be surprised if Chelsy shows up with a date,” a source recently told Us Weekly. “The two have remained friends long after ending their relationship and still keep in touch to this day. She congratulated him the minute the engagement news was announced. Meghan would have no problem with her being there, and Chelsy was on the preliminary list of friends to invite.”

Harry and Chelsy dated on and off from 2004 to 2011, and from the sound of it, they’re still on good terms. One person who you shouldn’t expect to see, though, is Cressida Bonas, one of his other exes. “Don’t expect to see Cressida invited,” the insider added. “The two didn’t remain friends.” Harry and Cressida were in a relationship from 2012 to 2014 and were spotted caroling at the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund carol concert in London this past December. No word on whether Cressida congratulated Harry on his engagement.

She’s Done It Again: Dolly Parton Sets Not 1, But 2 Guinness World Records

Dolly Parton is one of the biggest stars in country music, and now she has not one, but two Guinness World Records to back it up. The 71-year-old icon was recently honored for holding the records for the most hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart by a female and the most decades with a Top 20 hit on that same chart – an achievement that she joked made her “feel about 100.”

“To receive these two Guinness World Records is so great. Joining so many wonderful singers and songwriters who have been honored this way feels so special to me,” Dolly said when she was presented with her record title certificates in the video above. “You never know when you start out with your work how it’s going to turn out, but to have these two world records makes me feel very humbled and blessed!”

In addition to earning two spots in this year’s Guinness World Records, Dolly also holds several hall of fame honors, including in the Country Music Hall of Fame, Grammy Hall of Fame, and Songwriters Hall of Fame. Some of her biggest hits include “Jolene,” “Dumb Blonde,” “Coat of Many Colors,” and “I Will Always Love You.” Congrats Dolly!

“Does Bela Padilla think there will be a second chance for Carlo Aquino and Angelica Panganiban?”

Bela Padilla was asked if she sees a chance for former onscreen and offscreen partners Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino to have a second chance at love. Angelica is Bela’s close friend while Carlo is her co-star in the upcoming movie Meet Me in St. Gallen whom she has known for a while too.

Hindi ko alam kung nandon sila sa point ng buhay nila na-match pa rin sila. Pwede. Why not? Lahat naman ng single may chance. ‘Yun nga ang kwento ng [Meet Me in St. Gallen] eh. Lahat ng dalawang taong single naman at walang inaapakang tao ay may chance na ma-in love sa isa’t isa,” she said.

Bela stressed that she did not ask Carlo nor Angelica about their love story before. “Hindi naman ako nanghihinmasok or nagtatanong [kay Carlo] at same din kay Ange  at Kim (Chiu, her other close friend). Ganon din naman din sila sa akin,” she stated.

Does she approve of Carlo for Angelica? “Why not? I think dadaan siya sa matinding test namin ni Kim like ‘yung mga obstacle course,” she quipped.

Bela was also asked about her friendship with Angelica and Kim that many netizens have expressed their admiration for. “Kaya kami nagswa-swak dahil iba’t ibang flavor ‘yung nadadala [ng bawat isa]. I think ako kasi ang nasa gitna eh, si Angge ‘yung very outspoken, si Kim naman ‘yung ‘sige lang kung ano ang gusto niyong gawin. Ako ang nasa gitna nilang dalawa,” she said.
