Tutti Caringal says he did not kill a stray cat using an airgun, adding that his statement was taken out of context.
Tutti Caringal spoke up for the first time after his comment about allegedly killing a stray cat using an airgun made rounds on social media.
The 6Cyclemind vocalist said it all started when he commented “I bought an airgun just for that” in a thread found in a Facebook group called “Best of the Best.”
Unfortunately, one of the members was asking for the “best humane way to stop stray cats from hanging/living in your garden and lanai” and not the other way around – leaving animal rights advocates enraged.

But according to the former Your Face Sounds Familiar contestant, he used the airguns to shoo the cat away and not to kill them.
“So may nag post “What is the best humane way to get rid of stray cats living in your backyard?” Mga pusang gala kumbaga. Nagcomment ako. Sabi ko “I BOUGHT AN AIRGUN JUST FOR THAT”. Wala akong binanggit na namamaril ako ng pusa mismo. In fact, I even explained na lupa binabaril ko or yung basurahan para magulat yung cat. That’s basically it. ‘Di ko na pinahaba, I deleted the post na lang,” he wrote.
Reiterating that he did not involve himself in any form of animal cruelty acts, he stated: “I DID NOT NOR HAVE I EVER NOR DO I INTEND TO SHOOT OR HURT ANY CAT OR ANIMAL.”
The Cabuyao City, Laguna councilor also apologized for his jokes, admitting they were “crass and distasteful.”
“Though crass and distasteful, they were meant to be JOKES. Those who know me would know and understand my humor. That being said, I apologize for being offensive, especially to our four-legged friends. Thank you and Happy New Year to all. Rakenrol.”
