Duterte: We don't need NPA to implement land reform

BULUAN, MAGUINDANAO — President Rodrigo Duterte said Monday the people do not need the communist New People’s Army (NPA) to distribute lands to landless farmers.

He said under his administration, he would give all public lands to farmers.

“Ibigay mo na lahat,” the President told Agrarian Reform Secretary John Castricciones.

“Hindi na natin kailangan ang NPA, what for?” Duterte also said as he distributed certificates of land ownership awards (Cloas) here.

The President directed Agrarian Reform Secretary John  Castriciones to give all the lands to the people within his term.

“Ang kampanya nila ibigay ang lupa sa mga tao.  Kaya kong ibigay lahat iyan… Ibinibigay ko na nga, eh. Ano ba naman ang deperensya nila at ako?” Duterte asked.

“Ang plano ko…ibibigay ko lahat sa panahon ko…lata ng lupa ng gubyerno. Wala namang nakikinabang,” he added. /kga
