Illustrator Gino Paul Lumpas wowed Facebook users after launching his “Logo” series, in which he made illustrations inspired by the logos of government agencies in the Philippines.
“What if mag-JS Prom ang mga ahensiya ng gobyerno?”
This was the idea that prompted a netizen to create a collection of fashion illustration inspired by the local government in the Philippines.
On March 11, illustrator Gino Paul Lumpas wowed Facebook users after launching his “Logo” series, in which he created illustrations inspired by the logos of agencies Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Land Bank of the Philippines, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Department of Finance (DoF), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
“First time ko mag-try ng digital art, kaya sinubukan kong mag-design ng mga gown inspired ng mga logo ng mga ahensiya ng gobyerno,” he wrote as caption.
Shortly after going viral, he created more designs—this time taking inspiration from the logos of Land Transportaion Office (LTO), Department of Agriculture and Reform (DAR), Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Elections, PhilHealth, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Pag-ibig.
“Sobrang nakakataba ng puso ang inyong mga positive feedback, kaya na-inspire ako gumawa ng Part 2 ng mga fashion designs inspired ng mga logo ng mga ahensiya ng gobyerno,” he said.
Both posts have garnered thousands of likes and comments, with a host of replies praising the illustrator for his artwork, while others suggested more agencies for him to draw.
“Galing naman! Ganda ng mga designs,” said one user.
While another wrote, “Ang galing! Sana may Part 3 pa at pakisama na rin ang Bureau of Immigration.”
