Here’s the first look of Manny Pacquiao’s wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
Boxing champion and senator Manny Pacquiao shared a sneak peek of his wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
“I’m very honored to be the next Filipino wax figure to join @madametussaudshongkong and I’m excited for everyone to see it! It was a different way to represent the country. #PinoyPride,” Manny posted on his Instagram page.
Manny shared a short clip of his interview with the representative from the wax museum.
“Here’s a sneak peek of my interview with Madame Tussauds Hong Kong Marketing Head, Bobo Yu where we talked about my experience during the whole process and my wax figure pose. Stay tuned on MTHK’s Facebook page for the latest update 🙂 #PacquiaoforMTHK,” Manny said.
Prior to Manny, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was the first Filipino to have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
The beauty queen’s wax figure was unveiled in March 2019.
“When I found out, I was so excited. I couldn’t believe it! In my head, this is something that only happens to big stars. Now, thinking that I’m going to be one of them, I’m very honored,” Pia said back in March 2019 in an interview with Madame Tussauds.
The beauty queen’s wax figure wears the replica of Michael Cinco’s Swarovski-embellished royal blue ball gown which she wore when she passed on the Miss Universe crown in 2016.
“We want all of you to experience what it’s like to strike your most confidently beautiful pose and receive the crown for yourselves!” Pia said.
Meanwhile, it was announced in January 2020 that Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will also have her own wax figure .
Catriona’s wax figure will wear the replica of Mak Tumang’s lava gown.
“I am so excited to see the final figure and be a part of this special event! To unveil the figure in my home country with my fans watching is another dream come true,” Catriona wrote on her Instagram.
