MANILA, Philippines — A 63-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 13-year-old granddaughter, police said Wednesday.
The suspect was arrested by village authorities at his house in Tondo, Manila at around 1 p.m. on June 10.
Citing testimony from the Grade 9 victim, a report from the Manila Police District — Jose Abad Police Station (PS-7) said the suspect woke her up from her sleep and told her to take off her underwear. The suspect then allegedly locked the door and raped the victim, whose identity is being withheld.
