Manila Mayor Erap Estrada seeks reelection, files COC

Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” Estrada has formalized his reelection bid as he filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for Manila’s top post on Wednesday.

Estrada will be running for his third and final term in next year’s elections.


The 80-year-old mayor and former president will compete with former mayor Alfredo Lim and former Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.

Estrada defeated Lim in two consecutive mayoral elections in 2013 and 2016. /cbb
