Marlo said he thinks Morissette is going through something right now that’s why he doesn’t want to see the latter getting judged over the incident.

Very professional, very hardworking and very loving din sa family niya. And I think meron din talaga siyang matinding pinagdadaaan for her na mag-act ng ganun,” he said during the sidelines of the presscon for the TNT All-Star Grand Resbak Showdown.

“Kasi hindi siya ‘yun. Hindi siya ‘yun. Siguro na-caught in the moment lang talaga siya. And very sensitive na siguro ‘yun masyado ‘yung issue kapag ka family na ‘yung pinag-uusapan dahil baka may nireresolve pa sila na na hindi maayos. So I think dapat intindihan na lang siya ng mga tao,” he added, explaining why he thinks she acted the way that she did at the event.

The 26-year-old singer also said he understands where Jobert Sucaldito is coming from as a producer.

“And naiintindihan ko din naman si Nay Jobert as producer. Friends din ako sa kanya. But ‘wag po natin i-judge si Morissette,” he added.

According to Mortel, he has already reached out to Morissette to reassure her that he will always be there for her.

He also revealed that the singer thanked him for reaching out to her.

And she said thank you naman dahil nag-reach out ako. I know that God will guide her. In time maaayos ‘yan.”

Marlo, who flew to Bacolod a day after his mom’s death for a show, said he believes in the saying that ‘the show must go on.’ Then again, he emphasized it’s always a different case for each person.

Mahirap kasi iba-iba kasi tayo ng pinagdadaanan,” he said.

“And iba-iba din tayo how we deal with work problems eh.

Asked what he has to say about Morissette’s boyfriend Dave Lamar, Mortel, he said the Asia’s Phoenix deserves the kind of happiness she has right now.

Asked to give a message to Morissette, he said: “Morissette, alam mo naman na nandito lang ako. Kahit anong mangyari, I know ikaw pa din ‘to, ang Morissette na minahal naming lahat. And I know that you are very professional. I know you are very passionate. And naiintindihan ko kung ano man ‘yung pinagdadaanan mo. These will all pass.”

Meanwhile, Marlo Mortel is part of Tawag Ng Tanghalan’s All-Star Grand Resbak which debuts on It’s Showtime today, November 11.
