Pagasa: Cloudy Friday with isolated rain showers

MANILA, Philippines – Cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeasterly surface wind flow will prevail in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Apayao and Cagayan,  the weather bureau said in its Friday 4:00 a.m. forecast.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) added that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Pagasa warned of possible flash floods and landslides in rain-hit areas.

Meantime, Tropical Cyclone Bualoi was last spotted outside the Philippine area of responsibility 2,595 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon as of 3:00 a.m. and will not affect the country’s weather conditions.

The weather bureau further said the extreme northern Luzon would have moderate to strong northeast wind flow and moderate to rough coastal waters (1.2 to 2.8 meters).

The Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal waters, while Mindanao will experience slight to moderate coastal waters.

The lowest temperature was 24.8°C recorded at 5:50 a.m. while the maximum temperature will be 31.5°C at around 1:00 p.m. /gsg
