Robredo: Body cameras necessary during anti-drug ops

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo, newly-designated co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD), said using law enforcers should wear body cameras to “preserve the integrity” of anti-illegal drug operations.

The cameras could be used to defend law enforcers who might be facing “baseless charges,” she added.

“And it’s more of a protection for people as it will show the real events that happened during the operation,” Robredo said.
