MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam has appealed to President Rodrigo Duterte to relieve her of her duties, citing corruption issues in the agency.
“I’m appealing to the President, I love our country, you know that. And I love you for being firm of your advocacy of anti-corruption,” Cam said in a press conference on Thursday.
“Mr. President, I want to meet with you at ako’y humihingi po na i-relieve mo na lang dito sa kinauupuan ko dahil hindi ko na kaya ang korapsyon dito sa ahensyang ito,” added Cam.
She said that the agency has lost a lot of money because of shortfalls, saying that some P10 billion went missing due to the Peryahan ng Bayan project.
The Peryahan ng Bayan, operated by Globaltech Mobile Online Corporation, was considered illegal, until the Court of Appeals overturned the ruling which allowed it to continue its operations.

“Sa mga nago-operate din ngayon, kasama dito ang charity games ng Cagayan na ang nasa likod din ay lahat ay heneral sa PCSO,” Cam accused.
“Ngayon, ang charity agency ng ating government ay grabe ang korapsyon,” Cam stressed.
